Sony Mobile has announced the Android M Developer Preview for twelve Sony Xperia devices. Sony is allowing developers to flash a test image of Android M Developer Preview onto any device in Sony’s Open Device program. This includes the following devices: Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, Z3 Tablet Compact, Z2, Z2 Tablet, Z1, Z1 Compact, Z Ultra, E3, M2, T2 Ultra and T3.
The developer preview gives devs the necessary tools to test and verify apps on the new Android M release, which includes a new permission system. You can only run it on devices where the bootloader is unlocked and the software is not for daily use (the modem and camera aren’t implemented).
