On Design both Phones comes with Metal, body. On Front, Moto G5 Plus has a Moto branding, front ported speaker, proximity and ambient light sensors above the display. The G5 Plus has a 5MP front-facing camera. The physical home button which is equipped with a fingerprint sensor is present below the display on the bezel. Whereas Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5MP front-facing a camera, Notification LED, sensors and Earpiece below the display are there three capacitive buttons which are backlit.
Both devices power button and volume rockers are situated on the right side. Redmi Note 4 has SIM Slot on left There nothing on the left side of Moto G5 Plus.The micro USB port along with 3.5mm audio jack is situated at the bottom on Moto G5 Plus whereas Redmi Note 4 has speaker grill and MicroUSB port. Moto G5 Plus SIM slot is present on the top which also has MicroSD Card Slot whereas Redmi Note 4 has 3.5mm Audio jack and IR Blaster.

Moto G5 Plus runs on Android 7.0 Nougat which is Stock Android with some Moto Apps preloaded. Some of the Features Like One Button Nav feature that allows users to navigate through the screens using just the fingerprint scanner on the phone. Also, there is Moto Display, which allows users to get a preview of their notifications without having to unlock their smartphone. Moto Actions users can get to their most used features with simple gestures without having to touch any button. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 runs on Android 6.0.1 based on MIUI 8.2 which comes with lots of customization, Redmi Note 4 will get Nougat Update soon. Moto G5 Plus offers Better Camera, Stock Android experience, Small Display whereas Redmi Note 4 has a bigger battery, Similar performance, and less price.
