OPPO Reno16 and OPPO Reno15 feature a flat OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate, The OPPO Reno16 comes with a slightly smaller 6.32-inch display featuring a resolution of 2640 × 1216 pixels, while the OPPO Reno15 offers a larger 6.59-inch panel. Both are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The camera system is where the OPPO Reno16 receives the biggest upgrade. It features a 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.95-inch Sony LYT-600 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The biggest improvement is the replacement of the 8MP ultra-wide camera found on the Reno15 with a much higher-resolution 50MP ultra-wide camera on the Reno16, resulting in significantly better landscape and group photos. Both smartphones include a 50MP telephoto camera with Optical Image Stabilization, but the Reno16 features a 3.5x periscope telephoto camera, offering improved optical zoom performance and better long-distance photography compared to the standard telephoto camera on the Reno15 and 50MP front-facing camera.
OPPO Reno16 packs a larger 6700mAh battery compared to the 6500mAh battery on the Reno15. Both smartphones support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.
