Talking about Design Redmi 4A comes with a polycarbonate body which looks like Metal body when you see the device in images. the Phones weights Weight: 131.5g.On the front, there is a 5-inch HD Display, Earpiece, front-facing camera below the display it has touch capacitive buttons which are not backlit and a Notification LED.
The volume rocker and power button are easily accessible on the right side, while the hybrid SIM slot is on the left. The charging port is on the bottom, and 3.5mm audio jack and infrared emitter on the top. Coming to the rear it has a 13MP Rear Camera with LED Flash, Mi branding, and the speaker grill, device lack fingerprint scanner.the phone has slight curved edges on the rear which gives good grip also a 5-inch Device can be used in Single hand overall build of the device is good for the price it is there is also a Redmi 3S which has a metal build.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A features a 5-inch HD (720×1280-pixel) display with a 294ppi pixel density. which produces good color and viewing angles in both indoor as well outdoor conditions there was no issue in Direct Sunlight, Auto brightness also works fine there is also Reading mode which makes colors easier on the eyes, and also allows color temperature adjustment through the Settings app. Redmi 4A doesn’t come with any protection for the display. Redmi 4A is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU for graphics whereas Redmi 3S has Octa Core Snapdragon 430 SoC. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage out of which 8.53GB is available for the user, further expandable up to 128GB with MicroSD card. We tried playing some games on Redmi 4A there was no issue while playing normal games but while playing high-end games like asphalt 8, modern combat we notice there were lag and some heating issue, RAM management of Redmi 4A is good. On AnTuTu Phone scores 35662 points, Geekbench 4 on single core 659 and on Multicore 1600, On Quadrant standard Phone scores 17254 points performance of the device is smooth for normal use u will notice lag while playing games.
Camera
It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.Camera App has HDR modes such as Panorama, Timer Audio trigger, manual mode to adjust white balance and ISO, Straighten, Beautify, HHT and Scene. The front camera has beautified mode and smart mode; Rear Camera can shoot videos up to Full HD, There is also Time Lapse mode which is not available in priced above this. Phone rear camera captures good images in daylight conditions struggles in low light and under artificial lighting. The front camera produces decent selfies can be used for video calls.Video from the Rear camera is also decent. There are many modes available in Redmi 4A also there is manual mode. On Software Xiaomi Redmi 4A runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 based on MIUI 8.2 No details if Redmi 4A will get Nougat Update or Not. Phones offer Dual Space which allows using two WhatsApp, and Facebook account, App lock feature, It also offers change themes schedule text messages record calls and more. Redmi Note 4 also comes with some preloaded apps which can be uninstalled. MIUI now supports 13 Indian languages including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Assamese, and Bengali.

Speaker output is loud and clear when Volume is Full but when Volume is low or medium Sound is average, Audio Via Headphones is also good. Call quality on a device was also loud and clear. Redmi 4A supports VoLTE which works with Reliance Jio in India. Redmi 4A has a Hybrid SIM slot which means users can microSD + one SIM or Two SIM cards. MicroSD supports up to 128GB. There is also FM Radio app, that supports video formats like HEVC and MPEG4 among others plus popular audio formats including PCM, AAC/eAAC+, MP3, FLAC, and WAV. The sensors include gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.
Redmi 4A is packed with a 3120mAh Battery non-removable battery which is able to deliver battery life of 13-14 hours with daily use like listening music, Playing games, social media. If you are not a heavy user that device will easily last one full day. it comes with 5V 1A charger which takes more than 4hours to charge a device from 0-100%. With 2A charger it takes around 3 hours to charge.
Should you Buy Redmi 4A at Rs 5999? Yes if your budget is Rs 6,000 then Redmi 4A will be the best buy which offers IR Blaster, VoLTE Support, Good performance, and Camera which lacks MicroSD card.
