Jio has announced an update to its International Roaming (IR) voice and data plans. Jio has integrated up to four times more data into select packages and streamlined its global coverage tiers without altering existing price points.
Jio Expanded Global Coverage and Structured Tiers
Jio’s updated roaming structure categorizes international destinations into specific country blocks, allowing subscribers to choose plans based on their destination:
132 Countries: Packages tailored for broad global coverage, including standard and long-term validity options.
100 Countries: A selection of mid-to-high tier plans, with select options featuring built-in inflight connectivity benefits.
75 Countries: Shorter-term options alongside higher-allowance daily data structures.
6 Countries: Target-specific regional plans available across three price tiers.
The updated portfolio consists of the following voice, data, and SMS configurations:
1. 132-Country Coverage Tier
- ₹1,499 Pack: Offers 2GB of data, 100 minutes of voice calls, and 100 SMS with a validity of 14 days.
- ₹2,799 Pack (Annual Plan): Designed for long-term use, providing 3GB of data, 100 minutes of voice calls, and 50 SMS over a 365-day validity period.
- ₹2,899 Pack: Includes inflight connectivity benefits alongside 5GB of data, 200 minutes of voice calls, and 100 SMS, valid for 30 days.
2. 100-Country Coverage Tier
- ₹951 Pack: Valid for 10 days, providing 4GB of data, 200 minutes of voice calls, and 25 SMS.
- ₹1,551 Pack: Features an 8GB data allowance, 200 minutes of voice calls, and 50 SMS with a 14-day validity.
- ₹2,851 Pack: Valid for 30 days, offering 12GB of data, 300 minutes of voice calls, and 100 SMS.
- ₹3,999 Pack: Includes inflight connectivity benefits, delivering 20GB of data, 250 minutes of voice calls, and 100 SMS over a 30-day validity.
- ₹5,999 Pack: The premium option in this tier, providing 30GB of data, 400 minutes of voice calls, 500 SMS, and inflight benefits for 30 days.
3. 75-Country Coverage Tier
- ₹589 Pack: A single-day plan offering 1GB of data, 100 minutes of voice calls, and 20 SMS.
- ₹2,499 Pack: Valid for 10 days, featuring inflight benefits and a daily allowance structure of 1GB of data per day, 100 minutes of voice calls per day, and 100 SMS per day.
- ₹4,999 Pack: A 30-day plan that includes inflight benefits, 15GB of total data, 1500 minutes of voice calls, and 1500 SMS.
