In terms of Design and Build, Both Phones are similar.The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie comes with a Plastic body.On the front there is a 13MP front camera with LED Flash, Notification LED, Earpiece and Sensor below the display there are a touch capacitive button and Fingerprint Scanner.On the right side, there is a volume rocker and power button. On the left, there is a SIM slot that has support for Dual SIM + MicroSD card slot. On the bottom, there is a Micro USB and a loudspeaker grill.On top, there is Microphone & 3.5mm audio jack.
On the Rear, there is a 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash and Asus branding. The build Quality of the phone is good there are curved edges on the rear which gives good grip in the hand.Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie features a 5.5-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display which produces good viewing angles, colors both indoors but in bright sunlight you need to keep brightness at Full, The Auto brightness sensor works fine.

Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie is powered by a 1.4GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It has 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal Storage compared to 4GB RAM and 64GB on the Dual Camera model. The performance of smartphone is decent Normal games or Apps works fine but while playing high-end games device hangs and slowdown. On the AnTuTu benchmark phone scores 44122 points whereas on Geekbench 4 phone scores 645 points on single core and 2555 points on multi-core
On Camera, Zenfone 4 Selfie It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, EIS and 13MP front camera with soft LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture. Just like Dual camera model Zenfone 4 Selfie also comes with Portrait mode for selfies which works fine in Daylight conditions whereas struggles in Low light. The 13MP rear camera produces Good images in daylight whereas decent in low light. Both Cameras can record videos up to 1080P Video recording is good. Overall camera performance is Good.
Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based on ZenUI 4.0. With ZenUI 4.0 Asus has reduced pre-installed Apps and comes with new features like Twin Apps, Page maker, Game Genie. which basically clones supported apps in order to let you use multiple accounts at the same time. Page Marker adds a floating marker in Chrome, which lets you save Web pages for reading later and offers a ‘reader mode’ for articles There is also a Special mode which includes Easy mode and Kids mode.
There is also a split-screen mode which lets you use two apps at the same time.Selfie Master is a launcher which lets you jump to the front camera for stills or video, create a collage or slideshow, or enter the BeautyLive mode, which was the highlight feature of the ZenFone Live.Asus will be rolling out Android Oreo Update to Zenfone 4 Series Soon. Overall Software experience was good.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS. Reliance Jio VoLTE works fine there was no issue with Celluar calls.Audio Quality is loud and clear. The device also comes with dedicated microSD card up to 2TB. The fingerprint Scanner on the Home button is fast and responsive.
It is packed with 3000mAh battery there is no fast charge support and it takes 3 hours to charge 0-100%. It is able to deliver a full day of battery life on a Single with Normal use. On heavy use with Dual SIM, 4G Data, calls, Playing games it can last from 13-15 hours of battery life on Heavy use on normal use it can last for One full day.
Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie is priced at Rs 9,999 offers Good Camera, decent performance, Dedicated MicroSD Card slot. The device has a Plastic body which could have been metal and a bigger Battery.
