Both these have a 1.3-inch (360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED Always On Display with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass SR+ protection and has a rotating bezel. Both these have IP68 ratings for water resistance, NFC and Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) support for mobile payments using Samsung Pay, built-in speaker for activate voice messaging and music listening, and GPS.
The display comes with an ‘Always On’ feature which means one doesn’t need to wake up the smartwatch to check notifications. Gear S3 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Exynos 7220 processor paired with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Keeping the Gear S3 ticking is a 380mAh battery which is claimed to make the smartwatch run for up to four days on a single charge. It further comes with a power saver mode to further take up the battery life.
Other features include built-in GPS, NFC for mobile payments, built-in speaker to make and receive phone calls, barometer, speedometer, and an SOS option. To activate the SOS option, one can triple-tap the screen which sends a notification to the pre-saved list of friends or family members in case of an emergency.

The Gear S3 is compatible with 22mm watch bands that lets you easily personalize. Since it has a Always On Display, it always shows the time rather than automatically fading to black. The rotating bezel has been enhanced with new features so that users can accept or reject a call or snooze an alarm. In addition, by writing on the display, messages will automatically convert to texts. Users can also create short reminders and to-do lists to manage even the most hectic schedules with the Reminders application.
Samsung Gear S3 is priced at RS 28,500 and goes on sale starting 18th January.
