As per IDC’s latest report, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Lenovo holds 6% market share in the rapidly growing smartphone market in India. ET has learned through sources that Lenovo is set to launch India’s cheapest 4G smartphone soon to further strengthen its market share.

Earlier this month, Lenovo launched its cheapest 4G smartphone, Lenovo A2010 in Vietnam. The phone is priced at 1,690 Vietnamese Dong which is approximately Rs 4,970. As this is the cheapest smartphone in Lenovo’s portfolio with 4G connectivity, it is likely that the company will be launching the same phone in India soon. The phone is powered by Mediatek MT6735 — 64-bit quad core processor that has integrated 4G LTE WorldMode so it will support and work on all 4G bands in India.
Lenovo A2010 features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854x480p and has dual-SIM slots. Other hardware specifications include 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and a 2,000mAh battery. There is a 5MP primary camera (with LED flash), 2MP front facing camera and microSD slot for expansion (up to 32GB card supported). For connectivity, you get 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. Moreover, it is also one of the cheapest smartphones with Android Lollipop out of the box.
