Google has announced Android 12 (Go Edition). Android 12 (Go Edition) further improves the app load speeds, longer battery life, more intelligent features, easier app sharing, and simplified guest user experience, It also brings Android 12 features such as a new privacy dashboard, new privacy indicator, and more.
Android 12 (Go edition) device will launch apps up to 30% faster and will offer smoother animation. It has created SplashScreen API, so all developers can provide a consistently smooth experience when users launch their apps. Android 12 (Go edition) will automatically save battery life and storage by hibernating apps that haven’t been used for extended periods of time. The updated Files Go app will allow you to recover files within 30 days.
You can access translate and listen on any on-screen content into your preferred language by navigating to your recent apps screen. We had seen this first on the JioPhone Next running Android 11 go edition.
Android 12 (Go edition) will let you save data by sharing apps directly with nearby devices using Nearby Share and Google Play. Guest user experience is now simplified, so making profiles is possible directly from the lock screen. This lets you switch to a guest profile before sharing your device, and reset it once they’re done.
There is a new privacy dashboard to see which apps are accessing particular types of sensitive data, like the microphone, and revoke permissions if needed. The new privacy indicator on the status bar shows when the apps are specifically accessing the microphone or camera. It also brings approximate location permissions.
