Asus Vivobook X509 comes with 15.6-inch 16:9 Full HD LED-backlit screen, 178° wide viewing angle,82.5% Screen to body ratio. The display produces good colors and Viewing angle while watching Videos, Playing games in indoor conditions, experience in outdoor is above average. It comes with a full-size chiclet keyboard. the keyboard has a suitable travel distance of 1.4 mm, Typing experience is good, it misses out the backlit keyboard at this price point. the touchpad has an inbuilt fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello which works well, support four-finger gestures.
Asus X509 is powered by Intel Core i7 8565U Processor with 8GB LPDDR4 2400MHz SDRAM, 1TB HDD It comes with NVIDIA GeForce MX230 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, It runs on Windows 10. In terms of daily use, there is no issue, Gaming performance is decent while gaming laptop does get heat. It comes with VGA Webcam which is decent for normal skype calls. Support for Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 ac Bluetooth 4.2. It comes with Asus SonicMaster audio output is loud and clear for watching movies, listening to songs. Asus X509 is backed by a 2 -Cell 32 Wh Polymer Battery which takes close to 2 hours to charge fully Battery life is decent we got around 4-5 hours battery life on normal use like Watching Movies, using chrome, office use. While playing games we got around 2 hours of battery life.
Asus X509 starts at Rs 30,990 for the Core i3-7020U processor. Rs 42,990 for Core i5-8265U and Rs 59,990 for Core i7-8565U processor. Asus X509 offers good slim and lightweight design, NanoEdge display, i3, and i5 model looks more value for money compared to i7 Model. There is also ASUS X409 which comes with similar Specs 14-inch Display with No Dedicated GPU.
