Microsoft announced that Windows 7,8,8.1 users will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 at no cost. The operating system is set to come out on July 29, and users can already reserve a copy of the OS. But what happens after you reinstall Windows 10 when the free upgrade offer expires (29.07.2016)? Microsoft’s Gabe Aul stated that you’ll still be able to clean reinstall Windows 10 on same device anytime:
With the free upgrade to Windows 10 being delivered through Windows Update, some worried you wouldn’t be able to do a clean install of the new OS. Compared to a cleanly installed OS, an upgraded OS has a greater risk of issues arising and troubled performance. Problems can arise from old files and registry entries.
