HTC press invitation has been posted on the Web by the firm, stating an event scheduled for September 29 in Hankone, Japan. As per the invitation, HTC would be launching a “dual flagship”. The two flagship smartphones are not shown in the invite. Recently leaks however, do point to two possible launches, the HTC Aero A9 and the HTC Butterfly 3.
As per recent rumours, the HTC Aero A9 is supposed to pack a QHD resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and 2.5D curved edges, a MediaTek Helio X20 ten-core tri-cluster processor with 4GB of RAM and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
As for the rumoured Butterfly 3, the smartphone is said to be the international version of the HTC J Butterfly (HTV31), which was launched in Japan this May. The Android 5.0 Lollipop-based smartphone features a 5.2-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD3 display; IPX5/ IPX7 and IP5X certification; octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC; 3GB of RAM; 32GB built-in storage; expandable storage via microSD card (up to 200GB); a 20.2-megapixel rear camera; a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2700mAh battery.
