Lava today launched entry-level smartphone Lava P7 in India priced at Rs. 5,499. This smartphone will be available in White, Blue, and Gold (With Pearl Finish) colors at all national retail stores, multi-brand outlets and e-commerce platforms.
Lava P7 features a 5 inch display with a Corning Gorilla Glass for protection and renders vibrant colors with FWVGA resolution. powered by a 32 bit MediaTek Quad Core 1.2 GHz Processor coupled with 1 GB RAMpowered by a 32 bit MediaTek Quad Core 1.2 GHz Processor coupled with 1 GB RAM.In terms of storage, it has 8 GB of internal memory that is expandable up to 32 GB with an SD card.
It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with a guaranteed upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports dual-SIM (both being 3G enabled). For photography, it has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, both with an LED flash. On the software front, Lava P7 features the latest Google Indic keyboard supporting 12 Indian languages. To add to this, there are other features like Multi-Point Touch, Custom & Drawing Gestures and Smart Wake-up. 3G connectivity on the P7 is in the 900 MHz band that offers a better experience. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone packs a 2000 mAh battery with Power saver mode, supporting a talk time of over 20 hours, as claimed by the company.
