Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OTA update for the Moto X Play smartphone in India. Motorola rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year. In an interview last month, Amit Boni, general manager of Motorola India confirmed that Motorola will roll out Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play in India soon.
Even though Motorola India announced Marshmallow update for the Moto G (3rd Gen) last week, the OTA update is yet to roll out. Motorola confirmed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for a range of smartphones back in October last year. It recently added the Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G to list and said that t will get the Marshmallow update in Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia, excluding China.
