Sony Mobile has officially unveiled the newest member of its flagship Z series in the form of the Xperia Z5 (E6603, E6633, E6653, E6683). The key differences in Sony’s latest flagship is the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor, located on the side of the phone, along with a 23MP Exmor RS rear camera capable of 0.03 second autofocus.
The Sony Xperia Z5 will feature a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 resolution IPS display and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset (2.0 GHz octa-core processor and Adreno 430 GPU). Other specs include 32GB internal storage, 3GB RAM, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC.
It has a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Sony G lens, Hybrid AF speed of 0.03s, 5x clear image zoom without loss of quality, 4K video recording and a 5.1-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera with EXMOR R sensor. It has IPX5 / IPX8 ratings for dust and water resistance with capless USB. It also has Sony’s LDAC audio compression codec that promises high-quality wireless music playback and high-quality music experience. It has frosted glass on the back and the Xperia logo is engraved on the side.
