Coolpad Cool 1 Review

Coolpad launched Coolpad Cool 1 with Dual Rear Camera Phone priced at Rs 13,999. It comes with Octa-Core Processor. Here’s is our full review of Coolpad Cool 1.

Cool 1 is a smartphone from Coolpad and LeEco Launched in India By Coolpad. On Design It comes with a Similar Design as LeEco Le 2. On the front, there is 5.5-inch Full HD display, 8MP front facing camera, sensors and notification LED, capacitive buttons below it which are backlit. On the Right side, there is volume rocker and power button.The left side is where the Dual SIM cards slots are placed. USB Type C and Speaker grill found at the bottom of the device  On the top is the 3.5mm audio jack and IR Blaster.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cool 1 comes with Metal back with top and bottom is made up of plastic.On Rear, there is Dual Rear Camera with  Dual LED flash, Fingerprint Scanner and Coolpad Logo on the bottom the back is slightly curved which gives good grip also there is a Metal frame on the side of the device. Cool 1 measures 152 × 74.8 × 8.2mm and weighs 167 grams. Build Quality and design of device is Good

On Display, It has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS in-cell display with 450nits brightness no details on which glass used on Display, but Coolpad has included Screen Guard in Box. The display produces good colors and viewing angles in indoor condition but while on Outdoor in Sunlight display is not that Great.

Coolpad Cool 1 is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU there is 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is not expandable talking about performance Cool 1 does a daily task without any issue even while on Multitasking there was no issue. While Playing games for a longer time device heats up if you Play Games then this won’t be a good buy. There was no issue while using the camera, Recording Video or using Phone for Multimedia use of data Connectivity.  On Geekbench Phone scores 1470 points on single core and 3000 on multicore. On AnTuTu Phone scores 69615 points.

Cool 1 has a 13MP Dual Rear camera both have  Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.0 aperture with Dual-tone LED Flash. The first camera shoots in color whereas the second one shoots monochrome. Coolpad Cool 1 has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision OV8856 sensor, and f/2.2 aperture, 80-degree wide-angle lens Coolpad Rear camera can support  4K video recording, 720p slow motion at 120fps.Camera interface On Cool 1 is similar to LeEco Phones there are many modes included Like SLR mode  HDR, flash, front camera toggle, watermark, low motion, Panorama, Long exposure, and GIF. Camera Samples captured On Cool 1 produces good details and color both in Daylight and Low light. Also, the front camera is Good. Coolpad Cool 1 Camera Samples

 Coolpad Cool 1 runs on Android Marshmallow with EUI 5.8 top of it there’s no app drawer.there are some customization options available. There are options to change themes, Notifications icons and more. There is Remote control app which can be used with IR Blaster to control TV, AC, and more Electronics items. FM Radio, Music, Compass, Amazon  App also available EUI looks similar to iOS. Cool 1 has a Fingerprint Scanner on Rear which can be used to the unlock device, Capture Photos which is fast and Responsive. There is App lock also available on Cool 1. It runs on LeEco’s EUI 5.8 as there is no info when Cool 1 will get Android Nougat Update there are many features which are missing from Cool UI such as smart button gestures, App lock using the fingerprint scanner.The user interface is quite smooth and fast

On connectivity, Cool 1includes,4G with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type C .audio Quality on the device is loud and clear both on speakers output and call quality. Dual SIM supports two nano SIM cards there is No MicroSD card support. Reliance Jio VoLTE works fine on Cool 1 without any issue. Coolpad Cool 1 is packed with a 4000mAh non-removable battery which supports fast charging we got a battery backup close to 2 days battery backup on a single charge while using WiFi, music, Playing games, social networks.With normal use it can last for more than two days, it also comes with some power saving modes such as smart power saving, super power saving, ultra-long standby time.
