In terms of Design, Honor 8X has major improvement compared to Honor 7X. Honor 8X comes with Glass body and has Dual Tone Design which looks premium. It reflects and gives good looks. On the front it has a 6.5-inch Notch Display, front facing camera, Notification LED and sensors. Volume and power button on the right, Micro USB port, Speaker grill, 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom and SIM Slot on left.
On the Rear, It has Dual Rear Camera, fingerprint scanner and Honor, and AI camera branding. curved edges on the rear give good grip in hand. The phone measures 160.4×76.6×7.8mm and Weight: 175. The phone is bigger, not possible to use in single hand.Glass back attracts a lot of fingerprints and scratches it’s better to use TPU case provided in the box. The overall build quality of the device is good.
Honor 8X comes with 6.5-inch (2340 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19:5:9 display, It has 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, It has smaller bottom chin compared to other phones in this price range. It does not come with Gorilla Glas protection. Display quality is good in indoor mode produces good colors and viewing angles, In bright sunlight viewing angles, are average even at full brightness. Honor also let you Hide notch if you don’t need.
Honor 8X is powered by Kirin 710 12nm Processor with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage further expandable up to 400GB using a microSD card. In our review, we have used 4GB RAM variant. On AnTuTu Phone Scores 138387 points. Honor 8X has support for GPU Turbo. On performance was smooth No lag during Multitasking. while Playing Games, Phone does get warm while playing games you can feel glass back getting Heat up. Overall performance is good.
Honor 8X comes with 20-megapixel Rear Camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera can shoot 1080P Videos whereas the front is restricted to 720p. The front camera has in display flash. Honor 8X Camera App includes Photo, video, Night mode, Slow-Mo, Panorama, AR Lens, HDR, Time-lapse, AI Mode and More. The Night mode on Honor 8X works is decent. Honor 8X produces good images in daylight conditions, AI Mode helps in some situations, the Low light camera is decent could have been better. front camera selfie is good in daylight even portrait selfies are good low light selfies are average. rear Camera portrait mode lets you change blur effect even after photos are captures, Portrait mode needs improvement. Honor 8X video recording is just average as it does not come with EIS. Honor is expected to add EIS through a software update. Overall camera performance is decent when compared with Realme 2 Pro, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Zenfone Max M2 Pro.

Honor 8X runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on EMUI 8.2 Honor 8X comes preloaded with Facebook Messenger, Netflix, Camera360, and More You can uninstall unwanted Apps. Honor 8X comes with Theme App, Dual Apps, Gestures support. EMUI now also has support for App drawer, App loc, One hand mode, Ride mode and More. The user interface is smooth we didn’t face any issue. Honor 8X is expected to get EMUI 9.0 based on Android Pie Soon.

Honor 8X battery is able to deliver One day of battery life with 7 Hours of Screen on time, Use includes playing games, watching Videos, listening music, Calls You can also adjust Screen resolution from HD to FHD, There is also Power saving mode and ultra power saving mode.
