Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with the metal body, Top and bottom on the rear are made up of plastic. the device weight 180g device is lighter and can be sued in Single hand in spite having 5000mAh battery

Display

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with a5.99-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution 18:9 aspect ratio, 450 nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio. Even with the large 5.99-inch display, the ZenFone Max Pro M1 measures same as the standard 5.5-inch smartphone produces good colors and viewing angles in bright sunlight.

Processor

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is powered by 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform with  Adreno 509 GPU It packs the custom Kryo 260 CPU that offers up to 40% higher performance than its predecessor. It has 3GB RAM with 32GB Storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB RAM performance of the device is good there is no heating issue or lag while playing games or Normal usage.


Dual VoLTE

Most of the phones nowadays have 4G support for Single SIM while Second SIM has support for 2G/3G Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 offers dual VoLTE functionality, the users can simultaneously connect two 4G VoLTE networks. Reliance Jio VoLTE works Fine.

Triple Card Slot





Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with triple card slot. Users can insert two nano SIM cards along with a Micro SD card. On most other smartphones, there will be a hybrid SIM card slot where the user has to choose between the secondary SIM or the MicroSD card.

Dual Rear Cameras

ZenFone Max Pro M1 has a 13MP sensor comes with 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.2 aperture, the secondary 5MP sensor offers 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.4 aperture.  The camera has support for portrait mode which uses the secondary sensor to measure the depth in the image for perfect blur effect. Rear Can record 4K Videos. Asus has used Snapdragon Camera App with Max Pro which needs improvement, Portrait mode is average, Low light needs improvement also lack EIS.


OS

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M runs on stock Android which is based on their ZenUI   It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and there isn’t much bloatware. Asus also promised to give Android P and Android Q updates for this device. It comes with Some Asus Gestures and modes

Battery

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery which lasts for 1.5 days with heavy usage for normal use it can easily last up to 2 days.



Speaker + Max Box

 Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 has a bottom firing 5-magnet loudspeaker. It also includes 2nd-gen NXP Smart amplifier to offer rich audio experience. Asus is also bundling the passive amplifier accessory called “Max Box” with the device. The user can place the ZenFone Max Pro M1 on this Max Box to double the audio volume. The audio output from speaker and Max Box is loud and Clear.

Not to Buy 

No Quick Charge

Asus Zenfone Max Pro has 5000mAh Battery but It comes with a 5V/2A (10W) power adapter which does not support Quick charging takes more than 2 and Half hour to charge device fully. Asus should have included fast charging considering massive battery

No USB Type C

In 2018 Most of the smartphones are equipped with the latest USB Type C Port. The phone is equipped with the traditional micro USB port.

No Gorilla Glass Protection

Zenfone Max Pro comes with 2.5D curved glass display which lacks Corning Gorilla Glass it’s better to use Screen Protector



Average Front Camera

Asus Zenfone Max Pro has an 8MP front facing camera with LED Flash which has support for portrait mode. It produces decent Selfies in daylight but not good in low light also portrait mode is average.
