Samsung launched Galaxy S6 with Flat display and S6 edge with Dual edge curved display similar happens with Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Now Samsung has hinted that it may stop making flat Galaxy S flagships in the future.
“Samsung has considered that it would make the edge display as the identity of the Galaxy S smartphone lineup,” said the company’s mobile chief Dong-jin Koh, while pointing out that this also depends on Samsung being able to provide customers with differentiated user experiences through features and software for the curved display. He hasn’t said outright that the flat model will get the axe but it’s evident that the company is opening to ditching it if it makes sense.
One might even say that Samsung is testing the waters with the Galaxy Note 7 which has a dual-edge curved display.we might see only one variant of Galaxy S8 next year
Samsung to launch the Galaxy S8 Edge in early 2017, the handset will probably launch in February of March.Galaxy S8 will apparently feature a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and the device will also come with a range of other updated hardware. Sony has launched Z5 Premium smartphone with 4K display resolution 3840 x 2160 pixels with pixel density of 806 ppi
Note 7 will be the first in the series to have IP68-grade waterproofing and dustproofing. Unlike the S7, which is also resistant to water and dust, users can control the Note 7 in wet conditions such as in the rain using its S-Pen stylus, developed in house at Samsung Electronics. The stylus tip became slimmer from 1.6mm to 0.7mm compared to the Note 5 and the pen itself is twice as sensitive to pressure as its predecessor. The Screen off memo lets you pin memo to the Always On Display. Smart Select lets you easily create and share GIF animations and new Air Command functions Magnify and Translate, enable users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages with a simple hover of the S Pen.
