Motorola has launched two generations of Moto E .Both devices (XT1700 and XT1706) have traditional Motorola model numbers consisting of the letters “XT” followed by four numbers.
The XT1700 features a 5-inch HD Display. The MediaTek MT6735P SoC is under the hood with a quad-core 1GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of internal storage. An 8MP camera with a 5MP snapper in front for selfies and video chats. The XT1706 carries the same exact specs, and both phones have Android 6.0 pre-installed.

The XT1700 and XT1706 are enough of an upgrade from the second-generation Moto E to be the next version of the entry-level Moto phone. Motorola has confirmed that they are not killing Moto E and Moto G smartphones.
