Gionee has started sending invitations for the March 29th event. According to the source, Gionee plans to introduce the Gionee W909 at that event, and the invite itself is quite revealing as well.
Gionee W909 will feature two 720p (1280 x 720) displays, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This device will be fueled by MediaTek’s Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor, and two SIM card slots will also be a part of this package. The 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this smartphone, and a 5-megapixel shooter will be available up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this phone, along with Gionee’s Amigo 3.1 UI on top of it. Gionee plans to roll out Android Marshmallow instead of Lollipop here, we’ll see. The Gionee W909 measures 124.6 x 62.5 x 16.4mm, while it weighs 210 grams.
Gionee W909 will be more expensive than the W900, and it seems like its price might be around 4,000 Yuan.
