Mobile phone launches in India jumped 85% in 2015

Mobile phone launches in India shot up 85% last year, growing much faster than 19% in 2014.What was surprising was that most of the growth in 2015 came from sharp rise in a feature phone launches that fell in the sub-5k price band.

Even the rise in smartphone launches came from the same price segment.
