LeEco previously known as LeTv enters in Indian market a with the launch of there two new
smartphones Le Max and Le 1s. Le1S has a 3GB RAM Fingerprint scanner, metal unibody design priced at Rs 10,999 available on Flipkart which is one of the premium looking smartphone available in the market at this price point.check out our full review of LeEco Le1s

Unboxing

Design & Display

On Design Le1S has a bezel-less design and all-metal unibody design which gives premium looks to the device . On the front it has a 5.5-inch bezel less display Notification  LED , 5MP front-facing camera and earpiece with  set of sensors.

below the display there are three touch capacitive buttons.

On the top there is 3.5mm audio jack and IR blaster. on bottom of the phone we have loudspeakers grill and USB Type-C connector le1s is the first smartphone in this price segment to have a USB Type-C port.

On the right we have Volume rockers and power button . On the left there is dual SIM slot which supports both micro and nano.

On the back of the device we have two plastic strips for  antenna lines ,13MP rear camera with LED flash at left corner. fingerprint scanner is located at center  of the smartphone below it we have the LeTv branding  This sensor also double as a camera shutter button. Le1s measures 151.1x 74.2 x 7.5mm and weighs 169 grams.The phone comes with Dolby audio and Dirac HD audio technology.Device gives good grip in the hand , not easy to use in a single hand.

Le1s comes with  a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels)  which gives Pixel density of 403PPI display produces great colours and viewing angles are also good . Le 1s has a 500 nits bright display, which works brilliantly even under sunlight, and is brighter we can also customize the display color modes with options such as the Vivid, Natural and Soft depending on your preference.one of the best display’s available in price segment at which le1s offers.

Performance

Le1s smartphone is  powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core Mediatek Helio X10 (MT6795T) processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU coupled with  3GB  RAM and 32GB of internal memory out of which 25GB is available for the user the device lacks microSD card . we played few graphic intensive games on the phone such as Asphlat 8 , GTA, real racing and some other games like Subway Surfer, temple run we didn’t notice any lag while playing games . Yes device gets heat up while playing high-end games for more than half hour that’s not a issue as smartphone has a metal body. While using smartphone on our daily usage we didn’t notice any heating issues . We tried running some benchmark apps on Le1s On AnTuTu Benchmark Phone scores 53972 points. On GeekBench 3 Phone scores 968 on single core and 5528 on Multi-core which higher the Galaxy S5 . The phone scores 25964 points on Quadrant standard benchmarks. Overall performance of device is fast and smooth.

Camera

Le 1s has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a  5MP front-facing camera with Samsung S5K5E2 sensor and 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies. . The 13-megapixel rear camera comes with features such as PDAF and LED flash and can also shoot videos in 4K resolution supports slow motion. In terms of custom settings, you can set the white balance, ISO level, exposure, contrast, sharp ness and saturation levels.  Rear camera captures some good images in day light conditions . Software

Le1s  runs on Android 5.0.2  with EUI 5.5 top of it  which is similar to other chinese smartphone available in the market there’s no app drawer. overall the user interface is quite smooth and fast there are some customization options available . There are options to change themes, double tap on back button to get on notification panel .user interface looks similar to iOS. There aren’t very many preloaded apps -you get Yahoo Weather, My LeTV which is a company’s cloud storage and security services. Also a app Remote Control  app The feature allows you to remote control supported devices such as TV, projector, air conditioners and can also be used as a universal remote. Device also supports OTG USB Type C .At the launch event LeEco said that smartphone will be  upgraded to Marshmallow around March or April this year. user interface is quite smooth we didn’t notice any issue .

Fingerprint Scanner

Le1s comes with Fingerprint scanner at the back .It is easy to setup fingerprint scanner and also unlocks the device fast, we can add up to 5 fingerprints, You can also tap the sensor to click photos if you are in the camera and it comes pretty handy while clicking selfies. Performance of  scanner is quick and responsive.

On connectivity device include  4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS, USB  Type C and MHL 2.0. Dual SIM supports 4G LTE. Audio Quality on the device is loud and clear both on speakers output and call quality.  Le1S is packed with a 3000mAh nonremovable battery which supports fast charging. we have a battery backup of 10-11 hour battery backup on a single charge while using wifi, music, games, social networks. the device supports fast charging from 0-60% in just 20 minutes. with normal use it can last for a day, it also comes with some power saving modes such as smart power saving, super power saving, and ultra-long standby time.
