Toshiba’s going a step further with the first 12.5 inch convertible notebook featuring a 4K display. Toshiba Satellite Radius 12 will be available with up to an Intel Core i7 Skylake processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and a choice of a 12.5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel or 3840 x 2160 pixel display.
Toshiba says the Satellite Radius 12 will be available in the US in the fourth quarter of 2015.
convertible has a touchscreen display that can be folded back 360 degrees until it’s back-to-back with the keyboard, allowing you to hold the notebook like a tablet.
Other features include a USB Type-C port, two full-sized USB ports, an HDMI port, and a headset jack. The convertible laptop has a Gorilla Glass NBT scratch-resistant screen and an LE dbacklit keyboard.
Elsewhere, Toshiba has also included some more new technologies that make this laptop a little more exciting. Toshiba is joining other manufacturers by including a USB Type-C port on a Windows laptop. While Apple has opted just for the single port on its 12-inch MacBook, Toshiba has also included two regular USB ports and HDMI output.
