Vivo is all set to launch the Vivo S2 smartphone in the S-Series after a six-year hiatus. Vivo S2 to launch in India on August 6.

The Vivo S2 are built around two ideas that we believe are increasingly shaping the next chapter of smartphone experiences.
- The first is that design has become a form of communication. Good design is no longer about attracting attention for a moment; it is about creating products that people genuinely enjoy living with every day.
- The second is that imaging has evolved from mere recording to expression. Cameras are no longer used only to preserve memories. They have become creative tools through which people participate in conversations, build communities and tell their own stories.
Paigham Danish, Head of Product & GTM, vivo India, said: Every generation redefines its relationship with smartphones, with each wave of innovation making them objectively better than the last one. The conversation is now shifting from what a smartphone can do to how seamlessly it integrates into a consumer’s lifestyle. This shift is becoming increasingly visible among young consumers and as a brand it is imperative for us to understand these evolving consumer needs and preferences.
Danish noted that for today’s youth, smartphones serve as primary tools for content creation, storytelling, and self-expression.
For them, a smartphone is a tool where ideas are created, stories are shared, and individuality is expressed. It moves effortlessly between work, creativity and entertainment, becoming one of the few pieces of technology that remains constantly present in everyday life. At vivo, we believe this evolution should be reflected not only in the products we build, but also in the way we think about our portfolio… That thinking has led to the introduction of the S Series, and the upcoming vivo S2 is the expression of this philosophy.
