Xiaomi Mi 5 feature a 5.15-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD display with curved glass, S7 has a 5.1-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) 577 PPI Super AMOLED always-on, pressure sensitive display.Both Smartphones are powered by a Quad Core MSM8996 Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor .S7 also comes in Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core CPU variant.
Xiaomi Mi5 has a 3GB/4GB of RAM where as S7 comes with 4GB of RAM. On storage, Xiaomi Mi5 offers 64GB/128GB of internal storage with no microSD Card support. S7 has a 32GB/64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 200GB with a microSD card. Mi5 is available in three variants – 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 820 with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage , 1.8GHz Snapdragon 820, 3GBRAM, 32GB storage and 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 820 ,3GB RAM 64GB storage

On camera, Xiaomi has 16MP rear camera and 4MP ultra pixel front facing camera. S7 has a 12-megapixel (f/1.7 aperture) primary rear camera with Dual Pixel sensor, a single LED flash and a front 5-megapixel selfie camera. Both devices support DUAL SIM. It is a hybrid dual-SIM (nano + nano / microSD) device that lets you use the second slot as an expansion slot when required. Mi5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 where as S7 runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with custom Touch Wiz UI skinned on top. .Galaxy S7 is water and dust resistant smartphone with IP68 ratings. Both smartphones are packed with a 3000mAh Battery.

Xiaomi Mi5 comes with Faster LTE Cat12 ,IR Blaster ,USB Type-C, 128GB storage options but lacks Expandable memory,Wireless charging, Heart rate sensor and IP68 rating, water-resistance.
Xiaomi Mi 5 comes in Black, White, Gold and Rose colors and is priced at 1999 Yuan (US$ 306 / Rs. 20,969 approx) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and 2699 Yuan (US$ 413 / Rs. 28,312 approx.) for the exclusive 4GB RAM with 128GB storage version. Samsung has not yet announced prices but 32GB Galaxy S7 Rs 46000.
