Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro has been certified in China by regulatory agency TENAA. Redmi Note 2 Pro would have the same specs as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, but with a metal build and a fingerprint scanner. And that is exactly what the TENAA certification reveals.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro carries a 5.5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 SoC is under the hood, carrying an octa-core 2.0GHz CPU. 2GB of RAM is inside (although a variant with 3GB is possible), along with 16GB of native memory. A 13MP snapper adorns the back of the unit, and the 5MP camera in front takes selfies and handles video chats. A fingerprint scanner is located on the rear of the phone, under the camera.
Powering the Redmi Note 2 Pro is a 3060mAh battery. The device is .5mm thicker than the Redmi Note 2 at 8.75mm, and is a little heftier than the original model. Android 5.0.1 is pre-installed. The phone is expected to sell for the equivalent of $172 USD.
