After launching budget phones Infinix has launched its first 5G smartphone Infinix Zero 5G in India priced at Rs 19,999. It comes with Dimensity 900 processor, a 120Hz Refresh Rate. Is it worth buying let’s know in review?
Infinix Zero 5G has a plastic build. On the front, it has a 6.78-inch FHD+ LCD Display. On right, it has a volume rocker and power button along with a Fingerprint scanner. USB Type C port, 3.5mm audio jack, speaker on the bottom, SIM tray slot on left. On the rear, it has a Triple rear camera setup and Infinx branding. We have Cosmic Black color which does attract fingerprints, better to go with the Skylight Orange color variant which has a Leather finish. The camera module’s elegantly placed with the back panel of the device makes it a Uni-curve design which neutralizes the single-sheet rear panel with a fluid curve rendering the phone’s sleek contours a natural complement to your own style. The phone is difficult to use with a single hand. Overall build quality is good.
Infinix Zero 5G has a 6.78-inch (2460 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ LTPS IPS display with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 500 nits brightness, 92% screen to body ratio. The display produces good colors and viewing angle, Brightness in bright sunlight is decent. Display performance is good. At this price point, the AMOLED display would have been better. It does not support Widevine L1.
Infinix Zero 5G smartphone is powered by Octa MediaTek Dimensity 900 6nm processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB (UFS 3.1) storage which is further expandable up to 256GB with microSD. Support for Virtual RAM up to 5GB, Dar-Link 2.0 for better gaming performance, Hardware-based Heat Pipe Thermal Module 2.0 with 3-D Cooling Master technology. The smartphone performance is good in terms of normal usage and heavy gaming, No heating issue phone does get warm while playing games on mobile data, RAM Management is good. Phone scores 495502 on AnTuTu.
On-Camera, it has a 48-megapixel Primary Camera Samsung sensor, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x Optical Zoom, Up to 30X Digital Zoom, 2-megapixel Depth sensor with Quad Led Flash, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Both cameras can record 4K Videos, Slo-Mo Video at 960Fps, Short Video, Super Night Mode. Rear camera good images in daylight and low light conditions.2x Optical Zoom works well in good lighting conditions, 30X Digital Zoom is average. The front camera captures good selfies. Video recording is decent.
It runs on Android 11 with XOS 10. It does come with bloatware out of which few can be uninstalled, the user interface is good. It will be getting Android 12 Update in the future. Connectivity options include 13 5G bands, 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ USB Type-C. The Speaker out is decent, Call quality is loud and clear. It has a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor which works fast.
Infinix Zero 5G is packed with a 5000mAh battery, 33W fast charging support. which takes around 90 minutes to charge fully. It is able to deliver one day of battery life on normal use, In our battery test we got around 8 hours of battery life.
Infinix Zero 5G comes in Cosmic Black and Skylight Orange colors, is priced at Rs. 19,999. It offers good design, performance, 13 5G bands support, 120Hz Refresh Rate, Camera, lacks Wideline L1 Support, Ultrawide sensor.
