Oppo unveils Under-Screen Camera technology at MWC

This uses a customized camera module, an enhanced translucent panel material combined with advanced processing algorithms to take images without a notch or motorized camera while keeping the body thin.

Normally, the light passing through the screen will be lost. Therefore, the actual light received by the camera under the screen is less than half, which makes the image captured to lose color and details. To overcome this OPPO has used improved white balance, HDR and AI defog for ‘multi-algorithm optimization’ to ensure the best picture quality.

It will support several camera functions including smart beauty and filters in the future. There is no details yet when first phone with this technology will be launched
